Tensioning methods

for efficient sorting and screen life

The correct method of tensioning the screen surfaces is crucial for efficient sorting and the lifespan of sorting equipment.

The tensioning of the screens can be transverse or longitudinal, depending on the design of the screener.

TRANSVERSE TENSIONING

Spa - screen length under external tension
Fl - sieve width = cylinder length
t- distance between the bars

In transverse tensioning, the tensioned wires run transversely to the material flow.

LONGITUDINAL TENSIONING

Spi - screen length under internal tension
Fl - sieve width = cylinder length
t - distance between the bars

In longitudinal tensioning, the tensioned wires run in the direction of the material flow.

TYPES OF TENSION FOLDS
