Protective and sliding elements

Abrasion resistance

Abrasion-resistant surfaces for high-load slip and impact areas. Polyurethane, rubber, ceramic or Hardox 450 steel plates ensure abrasion resistance, shock absorption and long service life even in the most demanding conditions.

SLIDING AND IMPACT PLATES

Polyurethane

Polyurethane slip and impact plates are widely used in the mining industry, in the transport of bulk materials, but also in their further processing. However, their most common use is as linings for chutes, impacts, or nodes that lead material from or to conveyor belts.

Design:

Pure polyurethane plates:

  1. - Mounting method: gluing
  2. - Advantages: easier handling and subsequent cutting if necessary
  3. - Disadvantages: attachment requires thorough preparation and a clean surface

Plates with cast sheet metal:

- Advantages: simple and quick assembly that does not require thorough preparation, the plates hold their shape and are also suitable for more demanding applications

- Mounting options: countersunk holes (for screw mounting) available including cover plug), with threaded rod from the bottom, or with magnets

Advantages:

  1. Very good anti-abrasive properties
  2. Polyurethane provides shock-absorbing cushioning and can significantly reduce noise when the material hits the ground.
  3. Easy handling and lower weight compared to conventional hardboard lining
  4. Easy handling and installation
  5. Very good sliding properties even in contact with water

We recommend polyurethane impact and slide plates for light to medium duty applications. For large material impacts, we recommend one of the alternatives listed below (except for wet material).

Supplied materials and dimensions:

  1. Delivery in dimensions based on customer requirements
  2. Thicknesses 5-60 mm
  3. Material: Polyurethane 60-90 Shore A
  4. Also available in antibacterial version for gravel pits
  5. In stock, various thicknesses in plate dimensions 2000 x 1000 mm

RUBBER

Rubber slip and impact plates find their application similar to polyurethane ones in the mining industry, in the transport of bulk materials, but also in their further processing. However, their most common use is in the lining of impacts and chutes with larger material.

Advantages:

  1. Very good anti-abrasive properties
  2. Rubber has excellent shock-absorbing properties, which can significantly reduce noise when the material hits it, but also isolate impacts that would otherwise be transmitted to the supporting steel structure.
  3. Easy handling and lower weight compared to conventional hardboard lining
  4. Easy handling and installation

Design:

  1. Rubber plate with cast sheet metal and M16x35 screws for mounting

Supplied materials and dimensions:

  1. Size 200 x 300 mm
  2. Thickness 40 mm
  3. Material: 65 Shore A rubber

CERAMIC LINERS

Extreme abrasion resistance

The method of attaching ceramic elements to a steel plate by vulcanization makes it possible to utilize all the unique properties of the elements used in one product.

Ceramic inserts provide unparalleled resistance to abrasion from abrasive materials, while the specific rubber acts as a shock absorber, absorbing shocks and protecting the ceramic from hard impacts that could otherwise damage it.

Mounting this package on a steel plate then allows for a simple method of anchoring, either through anchor holes or through integrated screws according to customer requirements.

Areas of application

  1. quarries
  2. gravel pits
  3. steel industry
  4. mines
  5. recycling
  6. other industry

Types of ceramic inserts

The ceramic lining structure is manufactured in 4 different ceramic liner designs, which are differentiated according to the transported material. The production of abrasion-resistant plates is carried out according to the customer's tailor-made requirements.

According to the client's requirements, slip plates can also be supplied in a version with installation into various modular screen systems.

80 x 33 x 5 mm
 20 x 20 x 6 mm

  1. Use for lining chutes with higher material flow and high abrasion
  2. The smaller damping layer of rubber between the sheet metal and the ceramic (2 mm) precludes their use for impact surfaces.
  3. Mainly used for: chutes, unloading of tanks and silos
  4. Total thickness at least 20 mm

20 x 15 mm
 25 x 25 mm

  1. Suitable for all impact surfaces and heavy-duty applications
  2. The higher damping layer of rubber (7 mm) allows them to be used on landing surfaces and slides with an impact angle of up to 60 degrees.
  3. Mainly used for: chutes, vibrating conveyors, impacts, loading areas and others.
  4. Total thickness min. 35 mm

Spôsoby uchytenia dosiek

  1. pomocou navarených závitových tyčí v rôznych dĺžkach
  2. pomocou zapustených závitových púzdier

PROTECTIVE ELEMENTS FOR BEAMS, CROSSBANDS AND SHAFTS

Polyurethane protective elements are an ideal solution for protecting and subsequently extending the service life of sorting machines, or their parts, which are constantly exposed to abrasive material. Over time, this can damage these parts to such an extent that their replacement will be necessary. In extreme cases, such damage can lead to irreversible damage to the machine, which can permanently affect its further functionality in the future.

Protective elements can not only protect these elements, but also, for example, prevent the deposition of loose materials in these places.

Usage:

  1. Protection of eccentric shafts of screeners
  2. Protection of cross members and other beams on the sorter
  3. Bearing bushing protection

Supplied materials and dimensions:

  1. Dimensions based on selected application
  2. Thicknesses 5-60 mm
  3. Material: Polyurethane 60-90 Shore A

Mounting method:

  1. Screws
  2. Magnets
  3. Gluing

HARDOX PRODUCTS

Hardox 450 slip and impact plates are the standard for protecting heavily stressed areas in the mining, steel and processing industries. They are characterized by high durability as well as self-supporting ability, which allows them to be widely used in various applications.

Advantages:

  1. Good anti-abrasive properties
  2. Possibility of welding and further use in final products and applications
  3. Very good impact properties and shock absorption from falling material

Design and supplied dimensions:

  1. Plates
  2. Manufactured based on the supplied drawing documentation
  3. Possibility of laser, plasma, water jet cutting
  4. Various thicknesses up to 160 mm
